Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and the developer providing Pulse under the business name JalenKidd (“Pulse,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using Pulse, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Pulse.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If the law where you live requires a higher age or permission from a parent or guardian, that requirement applies. If you connect an organization-managed account, you must have authority to do so and comply with that organization’s rules.
What Pulse provides
Pulse lets you connect supported Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, and Microsoft 365 accounts, review recent email-security signals, organize findings, and track items you resolve or delete. Supported accounts, features, and scan behavior may change as the App develops.
Connected accounts and permissions
You authorize Pulse to use only the Google or Microsoft permissions you approve to provide visible App features. You are responsible for reviewing the provider’s authorization screen and for connecting only accounts you own or are authorized to access. You may disconnect accounts in Pulse or revoke access through Google or Microsoft.
Security-analysis limitations
Pulse does not guarantee that it will detect every phishing attempt, malicious message, impersonation attempt, spam message, or other risk. Pulse also does not guarantee that a message it flags is harmful.
Automated analysis can produce false positives and false negatives. You remain responsible for reviewing original account information, verifying important requests through trusted channels, and deciding what action to take. Pulse is not a substitute for your email provider’s protections, professional security services, incident response, legal advice, or emergency assistance.
Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Protect your device, connected accounts, passcodes, and authentication methods;
- Use Pulse only for lawful purposes and only with accounts you are allowed to access;
- Review authorization prompts and provider notices before granting access;
- Use reasonable judgment before acting on a Pulse finding; and
- Disconnect accounts you no longer control or are no longer allowed to use.
Prohibited use
You may not:
- Use Pulse to access another person’s account or information without authorization;
- Interfere with, overload, disable, or attempt to bypass Pulse or provider security controls;
- Use Pulse for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful activity;
- Transmit malicious code or probe the App except through a lawful, authorized security review; or
- Misrepresent Pulse findings as guaranteed security determinations or professional advice.
Third-party services
Pulse depends on third-party platforms including Apple, Google, Microsoft, and GitHub. Their services are governed by their own terms and policies. A provider may change its APIs, permissions, quotas, review requirements, or availability. Work or school Microsoft 365 accounts may require administrator approval or prohibit third-party access. Pulse is not responsible for third-party services, content, outages, or account decisions.
Privacy and data controls
The Privacy Policy explains how Pulse accesses and handles information. The Data Deletion page explains how to disconnect accounts, erase local Pulse data, and revoke provider access.
Ownership and license
Pulse’s original software, design, branding, text, and content are owned by its developer or licensors and are protected by applicable law. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose. Google, Gmail, Microsoft, Outlook, Hotmail, Microsoft 365, Apple, and GitHub names and marks belong to their respective owners.
Availability, changes, and termination
Pulse may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue features at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted access, compatibility with every device or account, or preservation of a particular feature. You may stop using Pulse and disconnect your accounts at any time. Access may be limited if you violate these Terms, create security or legal risk, or if continued operation is no longer practical.
Disclaimer of warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PULSE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, OR RELIABILITY. PULSE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL IDENTIFY EVERY THREAT OR THAT A FINDING WILL BE CORRECT.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PULSE AND ITS DEVELOPER, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR SECURITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE PULSE.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability for claims relating to Pulse will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Pulse during the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Governing terms
Applicable law will govern these Terms without limiting any mandatory consumer protections available where you live. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement regarding Pulse unless another written agreement applies. Apple’s standard licensed-application terms may also apply to App Store distribution.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Pulse changes. The effective date will be revised when updated Terms are published. If a change is material, notice will be provided in a way appropriate to the change and available service. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to jalenjkidd@gmail.com or submitted through the Pulse support page on GitHub. Do not include passwords, tokens, authentication codes, or private email content in a public issue.
